1. Profile of the Course
This course is mainly for those candidates who want to specialise in economics
at the postgraduate degree. After obtaining P.G. degree in Economics facilities
are provided for research in monetary Economics, Contemporary Economics,
Problems related to rural development, Agriculture, Tribal Economics of
Women's Studies, Urban Economics, Economics of Energy etc.
2. Eligibility for admission
The candidate should be having graduation with 50% marks in aggregate,
Preference order will be : B. A. (with Economics)/ B. Com./ B. H. Sc./
B. Sc./ B. A. (without economics). For admission in M. Phil. Candidates
should have 55% percent in M. A. Economics.

MBA of Business Economics is a programme which is essentially job-oriented
course extensively based on disciplines such as Economics, Commerce, Management
and Quantitative Techniques. . The course aims at Developing skills for
sound policy formulation and its implementation. The programme is specially
Designed to suit the requirements of our country because in the modern
era of Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization (L. P. G. ) the
importance of the study of Business Economics based on systematic approach
con not be ignored. In the 21st century, for the smooth functioning of
Business Enterprises, India will require the Management Executives having
PRACTICAL ORIENTED DISCIPLINE which is directional in scope with a desirable
feature of flexibility with the explosion of knowledge and explorations
in technology, Human Resource Development and Management.
MBA (Business Economics) is a new academic as well as professional -
cum- job oriented programme leading to jobs in reputed Companies, Financial
Institutions, Indian as well as Foreign Banks etc. and thereby provides
opportunities to join MAANGEMENT CAREER.
Facilities are provided for Management Research Projects for application
of theory in real life business situation and supervised Summer Internship.
Competent and Experienced Faculty, Visiting Faculty and Guest Lectures
which bring Corporate leaders into the classrooms are available. Separate
Hostels for Boys and Girls are also available.

University or Equivallent.

Admission will be made on the basis of written test conducted by Jiwaji
University followed by GD & Interview.
