opportunities for the students with a drive. MBA(Chemicals, sales and
Marketing Management) started up in 1994 with a vision for developing
scientifically trained quality management professional for Pharma/Fine
Chemical Industries & also for its frienges viz. Foods, Cosmetics,
Footwear, Polymers etc.
The course structure is designed to impart basics of chemistry and its
applications in pharma and fine chemical Industries. The course is well
supported with corporate need base management papers viz. marketing management,
sales management, skills management, relationship marketing, TQM, entrepreneurship
management, industrial marketing etc.
The course offers the way to breakout the learning of traditional course
pattern and gives applicant the opportunity to excel in job market by
creating a niche.

COURSE FOCUS
The program is bifurcated into two streams for providing specialized
knowledge in Fine Chemicals and Pharma. The program consists of 36 paper
including 12 core papers.
The program is divided into mainstream from first semester, so that each
stream can be given justice and the students could find the niche, where
good career options are possible i.e., in Pharmaceutical Marketing &
Industrial Chemicals Marketing.
LEARNING CYCLE
The various papers taught in all semesters during two year time includes,
compulsory papers of management and specialized papers of fine/pharma
right from the beginning of the course.
After a specialization is offered it cannot be changed in the forth-coming

SCHEME OF EVALUATION
(A) INTERNAL ASSESSMENT
1. One test after 1.5 month of 30 marks each.
2. Seminars, Viva Attendance of 30 marks each.
3. Local Marketing Survey of 30 marks of Grades A & B
All the mode of the test will be finally computed to 30 marks for each
paper.
(B) EXTERNAL ASSESMENT:
Consisting of theory paper of 70 marks of each subject.
Note: Diploma course has same papers & scheme of examination as first
two semesters.

Industrial Chemistry :
The basic objective of the course is to generate and channelise potential
manpower for the Research and Development division of the Chemical Industries.
The course consists of the basic knowledge of polymers, Paints and Pigments,
Spectroscopy, Asymmetric Synthesis, Industrial Chemicals, TQM, IPR, Technology
and R&D management, Biochemicals, Medicinal drugs, etc. to provide
deep insight about the chemistry involved in the industrial products.
The papers on IPR, TQM and R&D management will equip students about
latest need of industry. The Practicals have been so designed to provide
direct insight about the equipments and processes used in chemical industries.
We are already conducting a course pertaining to the marketing of Fine
chemical and Pharma Products. We have 100% Placement rating and very good
rappart with industries. With industrial chemistry we want to full fill
21st century need of industry and hope with very high placement rating.
