2. Profile of the Department

The School of Studied in Chemistry was established in 1971. The Objective of the Department is to prepare the students for joining :
(i) Research in Advanced Level Institutions.
(ii) Teaching positions in Universities/Colleges.
(iii) As Research Chemists in various organization, as scientists in different laboratories.

5. Course Structure 

In Ist & IInd Semester all 4 papers are common and are based on the four branches of Chemistry. In IIIrd & Ivth, semester two papers are common and the other two are based on specializations. In IV semester elective papers are also there which are as follows:

Each Semester has related practical course of 20 h duration per week.

6. Other Information 

In addition to M. Sc. , research students are being guided by all the staff members and some students are having GATE fellowship, while others are working in research projects of U.G.C., C.S.I.R., Ministry of Environment, DAE, M.P.C.S.T. and D.S.T. etc.
