The School imparts teaching and offers research programmes pertaining to modern aspects of Botany. Teaching is imparted at the post graduate level. Research leads to Ph.D. and D.Sc. degree.

For M.Sc. : Science graduate with Botany, Zoology subjects with 50% marks.

For M.Phil : M.Sc. with 55% of marks in aggregate in Botany/allied subject.
