Objective of the Course: The objective of course is to release the stupendous powers of human beings.
Overview of Department: The center for Yogic Sciences, Jiwaji University, Gwalior
came into existence in 2001 under the provision of Jiwaji University
ordinance.The centre for Yogic Science was incepted in 2001 on self financing
basis to promote Yoga Education. It has produced several Neophytes who are well
versed in Yoga education UGC has now given technical sanction for the
benevolence of society and nation to start a separate course on Yoga Therapy.
The objective of this centre is to provide vocational guidance in the field of
yoga education. It prepares best qualitative and professional feeders in the
field of yoga education.

Profile of the Course: Yoga is a way of life, an integral system of education for the body, mind and spirit. This para-science and art of living perfected and were practiced in India thousands of years ago. As the Yoga deals with universal truths, so its teaching are even today as they were in ancient times, Yoga is a practical aid and not a religion, Its pragmatic techniques have been practised by Buddhists, Jains, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, theist and atheist alike; Yoga is union of all.University has started this centre for Yogic Sciences in 2000 on self financing basis to start various courses on yoga education, since then the centre is running a diploma and certificate courses in yoga education. Now the University Grant Commission has given sanction to start a separate course on Yoga therapy. The centre has successfully organized one day seminar on ancient and modern Yoga Education in the perspective of human health. The centre is planning to organize regularly Dhyan and yoga camps for the benevolence of citizen of Gwalior.
Successful candidates shall be eligible for appointment as Yoga instructor, teacher, Yoga consultant in schools and colleges, Industries, health clues, Hospitals, Government and Non government agencies as well.
Eligibility Diploma - Graduation with min. 45% marks .
Certificate - Higher secondary (10+2) with 40% marks.
