Student Support and Progression

The Admission Brochure and Prospectus contains sufficient information and a factual detail about the various courses being run in the University.  Young students have very well accepted the facts  and the response to the various courses have been very encouraging with an approximate average of 1:12 for number of seats and applicants in the last admissions. To attract and obtain better students, we have a National level entrance test for most of the self-supporting programmes and some of the regular courses. T

We have placement activities in most of the career-oriented programmes. In addition we provide adequate professional, academic and personal counseling. This is how we find our students in most of the leading National Institutes and abroad.

Financial assistance to students are available through the sate and Central Govt. agencies. Research fellowships are readily awarded to NET qualified students and even to other meritorious students through UGC grant and projects from various agencies. To encourage students from the reserved categories the fee structure is lowered even in the self-supporting programmes to ensure their participation as well. Such students pay only one-fifth of the fee.
