Curricular Aspects

Curricula development, teaching and learning are the prime objectives of this University.  During 1995-96 our faculty designed, developed initiated 13 self-supporting programmes in emerging areas of science, humanities and management. We also introduced the distance education centre. The curricula like Computer Applications, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Sales Management, Tourism Management, Financial Administration, Clinical Pathology and Diagnostic Technology, etc. attracted attention of meritorious students from all over the country. Undoubtedly all other subjects introduced along with the above were also well accepted.

This provided a wide range of career-oriented subjects to the students of this region and the country as a whole. Admissions to these subjects were through National Entrance Test and after notifications in leading Newspapers and Employment News.

Undoubtedly we found roaring success in the subjects introduced. Some of the subjects like Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Sales and Marketing Management, etc. were supported by UGC under its emergent and innovative teaching areas programme.  Recently we introduced some of the most emerging subjects including Information Technology. We are the first University in the Country to introduce a postgraduate programme in Neuroscience.  All novel ideas of our faculty are appreciated, carefully evaluated and implemented in time. Our implementation system is positive and encouraging. Criticism helps perfection and positive critic is not uncommon amongst us. About 75% of the resource generated is spent on the students ensuring high quality education.
